> HOW TO MINT

🦊
STEP 01 INSTALL METAMASK & FUND YOUR WALLET Download MetaMask at metamask.io and create a wallet. You need at least 0.01 ETH balance — this is a bot-prevention check only, it is not spent. Also keep a small amount of ETH for gas fees across 2 transactions.
🔌
STEP 02 CONNECT YOUR WALLET Click CONNECT WALLET above and approve the MetaMask prompt. The site auto-switches you to Ethereum Mainnet. Each wallet can only mint 1 Pixel Head — no multi-minting.
🎯
STEP 03 PICK YOUR TOKEN ID Enter any number from 1 to 2222 and click CHECK. The live preview shows your exact Pixel Head before you commit. If the ID is taken, try another — IDs are first-come first-served.
STEP 04 GENERATE YOUR MINT CODE Click GENERATE CODE and confirm in MetaMask. This writes a unique bytes32 code to the blockchain, tied to your wallet address. One code per wallet, single use — this is your mint pass. Gas fee applies.
STEP 05 MINT YOUR PIXEL HEAD Your code auto-fills in Step 3. Confirm your token ID, click MINT NOW, and approve the MetaMask transaction. Once confirmed on-chain, the NFT is yours forever. Free mint — no ETH cost beyond gas.
🔄
STEP 06 TRADING UNLOCKS AT SELLOUT NFTs are soulbound (non-transferable) until all 2,222 are minted. The moment the last token is minted, trading unlocks automatically. 8% royalty is enforced on all secondary sales via ERC-2981.
⚠️
IMPORTANT NOTES READ BEFORE MINTING Do not close MetaMask mid-transaction.
If a mint fails, your code is not consumed — you can retry with another token ID.
Always check token ID availability before minting.
Artwork stored on IPFS — decentralized and permanent.

> FAQ

How many Pixel Heads can I mint?
Each wallet can mint exactly 1 Pixel Head. The contract enforces this on-chain — there is no way to mint more than one per wallet address.
Why do I need 0.01 ETH if the mint is free?
The 0.01 ETH balance requirement is a bot-prevention check. The ETH is never transferred or spent — the contract just checks your wallet holds at least that amount before issuing your mint code. You still need a small amount of ETH to pay gas for 2 transactions (generateCode + mint).
What is the mint code and why is it needed?
The mint code is a unique bytes32 hash generated on-chain and tied to your wallet. It's derived from your address, block timestamp, block randomness, and a counter — making it impossible to predict or reuse. You must provide your own code when minting, ensuring only you can use it.
Can I choose my own token ID?
Yes — that's one of the unique features of Pixel Heads. You can pick any ID from 1 to 2222, as long as it hasn't been minted yet. Use the CHECK button to verify availability. IDs are first-come first-served.
Why can't I transfer or sell immediately after minting?
Pixel Heads are soulbound during the mint phase. The contract blocks approve and setApprovalForAll — the functions marketplaces use to gain transfer rights. This ensures fair distribution before any secondary market activity. Trading auto-unlocks at full sellout of 2,222 tokens.
What happens if my mint transaction fails?
If the mint transaction fails (e.g. the token ID was taken between your check and your mint), your mint code is not consumed. You can retry with a different token ID. Only a successful mint marks your code as used.
Where is the artwork stored?
Pixel Head images are stored on IPFS with CID bafybeidls4...vwam. Metadata is also on IPFS at a separate CID. The tokenURI function returns a permanent IPFS link for each token — decentralized and not dependent on any centralized server.
What wallet do I need?
Any EIP-1193 compatible wallet works: MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, etc. Make sure it's connected to Ethereum Mainnet. The site will detect the wrong network and prompt you to switch automatically.
